In compliance with recent legislation, the Frankfort Square Park District offers the following information regarding the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
The (5 ILCS 140/) Illinois Freedom of Information Act is a state statute that provides the public the right to access government documents and records. The law provides that a person can ask a public body for a copy of its records on a specific subject, and the public body must provide those records, unless there is an exemption in the statute that protects those records from disclosure.
Persons requesting documents from the Frankfort Square Park District under the FOIA must make such requests in writing by accessing and filling out the Request for Information form. Please note; the form is available as a convenience, but the requestor may use his/her own format, and addressing it to the Frankfort Square Park District, 7540 W. Braemar Lane, Frankfort, IL 60423, or e-mail at info@fspd.org.
