Please drop off and pick up your children promptly upon arrival or dismissal of class. Preschool age children enrolled in Park District programs are not released from a class to anyone other than a parent or guardian unless advance written notification is given to the instructor. Children must be accompanied by an adult when being escorted to and from class.
The Park District purchased two automatic external defibrillators (AED’s). One is permanently housed in the lobby of the Community Center. The second is located in the Square Links Golf Course Clubhouse during the golf season, and then is transferred to the hall monitor at Summit Hill Junior High during winter recreation programming. It is our goal to purchase additional AED’s in the future and position units in high volume areas. If you wish to learn more about the AED’s, please contact the park office at (815) 469-3524.
The Frankfort Square Park District assumes no risk or legal liability for injuries associated with a park district program. Participants in all park district programs must sign a waiver of liability as part of their program registration. Be sure to check your own insurance coverage before registering for any park district program or activity.
Participants in Frankfort Square Park District activities are not covered by medical or accident insurance. Each participant must furnish his or her own personal coverage. Many sports activities and programs have inherent elements of danger. Participant or parent permission is needed to call an ambulance in an emergency. As a participant (or as a parent of a participant under 18 years of age), I hereby agree to save harmless and indemnify the Frankfort Square Park District, its trustees and employees from any responsibility for any accident, injury or damage that may occur as a result of the participants acts or omissions. In case of accident or sickness, I consent to emergency medical care provided by ambulance or hospital personnel. In compliance with the American Disabilities Act, please advise us of any accommodations that would enhance your ability to enjoy our services.
Application of herbicides to park land is necessary to maintain and improve park properties within our District. These applications are done by qualified personnel with proper equipment and in compliance with all appropriate state and local regulations. Integrated Pest Management is employed by the Frankfort Square Park District to manage and control pests with chemical, physical and biological methods. Components of I.P.M. include fertilization, maintaining mowing equipment, aerating, over-seeding and chemical application of herbicides.
