No Bikes Allowed in Skate Park.
Warning of risk and Danger - skateboarding, and in-line skating are high risk activities with inherent risks of serious injury.
- The skate park area is UNSUPERVISED and participants and all other persons are voluntarily participating and entering at their own risk.
- Skate parks are prone to flying objects and bodies. Know your abilities and skate within them. The Park District is not responsible for accidents. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!
- When wet, the skating surface can be dangerous. We will temporarily close the skate park if there is snow or ice present, and reopen when it melts.
- All skateboard and in-line skate users are recommended to wear appropriate helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads.
- Children under the age of 10 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a competent adult.
- Spectators must remain outside the skate park area.
- Only skateboards and in-line skates may be used at the skate park. All equipment must be in good condition and free of dirt.
- No "snaking" - wait your turn. No skating against traffic on ramps or pipes.
- Offensive language, rowdy behavior, and/or reckless behavior will not be tolerated. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times.
- Modifications to the facility and use of wax is prohibited.
- Graffiti and destruction of public property is prohibited. Violators will be prosecuted.
- Food, drink, and glass are prohibited in the skate area. Please keep your park clean!
- No smoking is allowed, by anyone, at anytime.
- Possession, consumption, or being on the premises under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance is prohibited.
- No pets of any kind allowed.
- Violation to any of these rules may be subject to suspension, expulsion, or criminal prosecution.
- The Frankfort Square Park District is not responsible for loss, theft or destruction of any personal property brought to the skate park, and reserves the right to close the skate park at any time for any reason.
The Skate Park is provided for open use by individuals. Supervised organizations/private groups who are interested in using these facilities must register with the Frankfort Square Park District. These groups may include, but are not limited to scouts, private athletic teams, and child care/recreation agencies. Prior to usage, groups must provide the park district with signed waivers and a Certificate of Insurance naming the Frankfort Square Park District as an additional insured.
