 South Suburban Special Recreation Association is a therapeutic recreation program that is an extension of the Frankfort Square Park District. SSSRA is organized to provide individuals with special needs or disabilities the opportunity to be involved in year round recreation programs.
SSSRA programs are for individuals from birth through adult who are in special education classes, sheltered workshops, or have recreational needs not met by traditional park district programs.
Professional staff with experience in the field of therapeutic recreation or a related field supervise all SSSRA programs. They are assisted by individuals who are trained by SSSRA staff in specific areas of therapeutic recreation.
